LA Day

In my life I have had the privilege to travel to various cities, which have included: DC, New York, Orlando, Austin, Seattle, Portland, Memphis and Paris. In each of my destinations I pick five to ten "things to do" or places to visit within the city. I have visited these other cities, but not fully discovered Los Angeles. So, my dear friend Marisa and I decided to make a day of it. Here we are visiting our local "big city":

Stop 1: Studio City Farmers Market

We taste-tested our way down the street and enjoyed a tomato, basil and mozzarella crepe...Yum!

Stop 2 - Hollywood Reservoir and Hollywood Sign

Marisa and I researched a few of the best spots to see the Hollywood sign. Our instincts told us to go to the one that you could reach "closest by car." On our way we saw the beautiful reservoir....truely spectacular.

We turned around and had some fun with the sign.

Next stop was Hollywood Blvd and the walk of fame...I missed seeing Adam Sandler and Toby Keith's star. I did see a few fun photo opps and could not resist.

Last stop of the day was at Pink's. I have never waited so long for a hot dog, but it was fun and worth the wait.

While I was nervous to eat a hot dog, I opted for a healthier option. Is that even possible? Well, I got my dog with lettuce and tomatoes!!

I am grateful that I could experience Los Angeles in a new way and be a "tourist" in my own back yard.

Just now joining this blogging world...

I am a little behind when it comes to blogging, so please forgive me. I will use this to post some of my favorite photos and keep you informed of what I am doing. I will start with my favorite place, a little town called Avalon. Avalon is my favorite place to visit because it is an hour away from the hustle and bustle of Southern California, but it is a world away. Here are some of my favorite pictures from Avalon:

Plenty of my favorite photos come from Catalina, so you are bound to see more.
